Creating a "Plugged In" High Tech Wedding Reception

Today’s San Francisco couple wants a wedding that is modern, casual, contemporary and unique.

A Ballroom hotel wedding seems to be a thing of the past; especially in this technology forward wedding era....

What steps are needed to plan a Tech Savvy Wedding?

Here are a few tips:

Simplicity:

Find a venue that isn’t over the top. Fabric walls and chandeliers are no longer wanted.  A large open space with the flexibility to make it your own will provide lots of options for couples to do it their way.  Converting a cool spot into a winter wonderland, speak easy or romantic lounge is a move in the right direction...

Stress-free:

Weddings are stressful enough.  With so many catering, furniture, wedding planners, and musicians out there; there is a lot of choice and it can be overwhelming.  Selecting a space that offers more than one service can be a lifesaver of sanity and time...

Mobile:

For any wedding it’s important to keep things moving.  For Boutique Weddings Seated dinners are wonderful but who wants to decide who sits where?  If you don't want the headache of making seating arrangements or if you have a large wedding party consider a "Mobile Feast" with live cooking stations, scattered lounge seating, an interactive floor for dancing and areas for mingling can keep the party going longer...

Interactivity:

It’s important to provide a variety of activities to keep your guests entertained.  Items like a photo booth, giant games and casinos make for a really fun wedding...

Technology:

For the big day try a very cool floor wash and Gobos with the couple’s initials. Adding TV monitors with videos of the happy couple and creative lighting options can really take your wedding to the next level! (Or how about a 75' theater screen?) You can also live-stream for family who couldn’t make it so they can  join in the festivities.  We are happy to work with Madrone Studios as our in-house Audio Visual Partner.

Having freedom to make it your own can allow you to have the wedding of your dreams and partnering with a versatile Unique Venue, like The Village is key when looking for a Stress-free Wedding in San Francisco. Check out more Wedding photos here.
